Ghell

GHELL is a mask that imagines protection as something living, breathing, and ceremonial. Inspired by the gills of a shark and the structure of Japanese kendo masks, Ghell combines organic anatomy with martial presence. Its black, ribbed form opens outward like a set of aquatic vents, suggesting movement, respiration, and hidden force. The layered side structures recall both the sharp rhythm of shark gills and the guarded face cage of kendo armor, creating a tension between vulnerability and defense.
