Mantis

MANTIS is an eyewear piece 3D-modeled in VR using Gravity Sketch, inspired by the predatory head structure and compound visual system of the praying mantis. The outer shell is 3D-printed in resin, finished with a metallic copper coating for surface depth, and the lenses are hand-shaped from tinted acrylic to follow the angular, segmented geometry of the insect's eyes. MANTIS explores how entomological anatomy can translate into wearable sculptural form — merging organic aggression with precision fabrication.
